For Sirju (Nurse) at the Oxford CDC. Efficient and timely. Clear instructions given by Sirju. The blood test was not uncomfortable and the patient manner was polite and professional. I am qualified occupational therapist and recognise clinical practice. Thank you for your help.
I would like to thank all the lovely staff, from pre visit phone call, receptionist on arrival and staff for MRI scan. Providing an early morning Sunday service is so invaluable and only possible by dedicated staff. Thank you
The only reason for the rating was that the demonstration was quick and not hugely clear and the written lacked detail e.g., has to be the Velcro strap! As a result I was confused by the stap and I ended up having the microphone in the wrong place which is why I had to come back today.
I didn’t have to wait. Absolutely brilliant.
Toilets were not very clean.
Could not find any faults, much better than the JR in Oxford.
Brakes on wheelchair – not working at all, wheelchair difficult to manoeuvre due to poor wheels and design.
I made a mistake with my appointment time and turned up at 1pm instead of 9:20 am. Reception staff chap was very helpful and checked to see if I could be fitted in which happily they could. I didn’t mind waiting as I was so pleased to be fitted in. All the staff who I saw today was so helpful, kind and considerate.
Everything is commendable except for the location. So difficult to search or located for upon getting out of public bus mainly, because of lack of signage to follow.
Great service and staff very efficient
All excellent – Well done!!
Better signage! Building needs a big NHS sign!
Lovely staff
Appointment time – not kept waiting. Staff – very professional, compassionate, caring. Premises – Clean, tidy and professional. Excellent care from all staff.
Nothing to add
The signage is poor. The instructions were to go Gemini house, Nash court. The signage that’s visible is entirely different. It would be easy to change the joining instructions to Perspectum. The instructions for using the machine were rather perfunctory.
Mr Ralph was very nice, very professional. Thank you.
Excellent- gold star. Much easier than going to the surgery or hospital
Please install bike racks. I had to lock my bike to a pillar near the front door, affecting access for others. But there is no rack in showing distance and I can’t afford to get my bike stolen. Thank you
Parking for cyclists please. It’s ridiculous that there isn’t any that I could see – only locked cages.
Cycle parking is a joke – if you try to park you are over the disabled parking bays. If you park to the side, your bike could fall on a disabled person
The receptionist was patient as I am hard of hearing. Superb diagnostic centre, very well organised. Excellent radiographer and the procedure was ahead of my appointment time so I didn’t have to wait before going into the CT unit. Many thanks
no
Very good service, easy to park start walk, friendly staff from all levels from reception to doctors. Domestic trying to maintain clean floor throughout my visit on a cold snowy day. 3 and half hour visit with different professions.
Direct bus to avoid walk for less mobile patients.
Interpreter not provided for 80 year old and family member not allowed to help with communication poor. Thank you for lady volunteering to look after my daughter while scan taking place
coffee could be provided
An electric scooter was brought into the building. Those things has risk and should not be allowed into this building.
Very good experience overall.
Arrived at CDC, was told that the internal ultrasound would be with a male sonographer. I am very uncomfortable with this and have been rebooked. I confirmed with reception that there was no call prior to this appointment to let me know that it would be a male sonographer. There should be a contact method to say that the scan will be with a male.
Cafe would be great
I like everything here and today’s MRI team are very attentive. Overall everything is fine
Excellent friendly service
Only just entered haven’t had time to comment. But hopefully it will be well worth the visit and my pain goes. Thank you all
No dryer or towels in the toilet
Found everyone to be very helpful and kind. Excellent professional team well done everyone.
Very helpful and smiles. Just want to add that most times taking my blood is difficult. But the young gentleman who did today 11 out 10. He was straight in and blood straight out. Brilliant service. Thank you
The staff and clinicians could not be nicer and more helpful.
(20-30 mins wait ) but this was due to exceptional circumstances beyond control the staff.
Thank you to the whole team. Everyone was friendly kind and caring.
Excellent service thank you to everybody
Very impressed with Lydia. She explained everything very clearly. Very professional!
No bike parking! How is that possible. Yes, put up some bike rack for people visiting the CDC, not just staff.
Received a letter saying an X-ray had been requested but no information about who requested it or what was to be X-rayed. Patient have multiple issues and 3 phone calls were needed to get this information.
Letter alarming and confusing. My wife 86 years vascular dementia, me full time carer. Several recent hospital visits not immediately which letter about. A note saying “chest X-ray following pneumonia” would have been appreciated.
Very efficient and polite. Quick- waiting was limited. Made comfortable. Recommend – Seve, very polite thank you.
Covered walk-way
All appears to be good
Very good service much quicker than waiting for blood test at the Dr’s.
Very professional and excellent service.
Very polite friendly staff and HC professionals. Much appreciated – thank you.
Maybe signposting with the arrows from outside (parking) to the reception will make it easier for people with autism or ADHD.
I wish it was at my GP’s surgery. It was hard to find. No bike racks. Faraway. i would rather go to the nurse at my GP. Please can we have a bike rack. I had to put it against the window.
Excellent all round. Exceptional and excellent. Thank you. Impressive.
The appointment was quick but this came at the expense of care. The instructions about metal and clothing were different to the information leaflet and not clearly explained which was confusing and made me nervous about safety. The staff seemed rushed and did not give patient clear instructions about where to get, what to do and didn’t even show me how to open the door in the way out. If I had been worried about MRI (which I wasn’t) I would have found the experience negative and increasing my concerns.
All staff friendly, polite and made me feel at ease. Would highly recommend very professional.
Waste of NHS funds. Money should have been put into NHS hospitals no private company. Dreadful experience. No mentioned on website to book appointment or that lunch break is 12 to 1. I travelled from Thame, long journey by public transport to be told to come back another time. Money spent on this facility plus been paid to private company would be better spent upgrading NHS hospitals.
Excellent service, staff very kind, polite and helpful.
I was given a sleep study device twice, the first time it was defective and did not record the pulse and oxygen levels and the second time I was given a device with no battery, as it turned off after 3 seconds of turning on, overall it wasted 4 hours of my work time as I live in Didcot and need travel.
Very polite staff. Shame the coffee machine is gone.
Brilliant experience. Great that you can park. Cindy was brilliant, she gave clear instructions. She managed to take the blood without any issues. Always an issue usually. Much better experience than having to go to the JR, Churchill or NOC.
I was so impressed with the staff, they are so professional, caring and great communication, very clean facility, felt very safe and at ease, what a great job you do here. NHS rocks!!
Really god service.
The signs for finding this building by car were disgraceful. Please do something about it, my heart rate was too high because of this!!
“Came yesterday we live In Chalgrove so an hour For Public transport but person was sick so told To come Back following day – over and hour to go home. Came Back today – over 1 hour on bus to be told that person had Gone for lunch and People in front So would be at least 2 hour wait so might be worth coming back ! Perhaps would be easier to make an appointment or told to avoid lunch breaks or have a message to tell you that it’s not open so don’t make unnecessary journey”
This is the best CDC I have ever been to – and by some margin. Thank you to all those responsible.
Was seen early. When checking in and address and everything checked then the form could be put in print and personal details printed. Why don’t you use hospital labels?
None, it’s excellent.
What a super experience, staff were welcoming, friendly and so efficient. Thank you all!

Fabulous experience, wish you well and keep it up!
We checked in at 6:10pm for a 6:30pm appointment. At 7pm I enquired about the wait staff seemed confused and we then waited further to be seen. We were not booked in and no reception staff queried why we had been waiting for 50 minutes!! Scan staff great
The building is immaculately clean, including toilets. Doesn’t feel like a medical centre at all.
Marta at the reception was helpful and friendly. I had a MRI in a mobile service outside the CDC. The staff at reception desk was very helpful towards all patients. The MRI staff gave correct information. However, there was no female staff in the MRI unit and as female I felt a bit uncomfortable with 3 male staff in a small MRI mobile van. I would suggest having at least one female staff for female clients. Thanks.
Very efficient
Alli Tatel was very good. Excellent experience, thank you
Excellent, kind friendly faces.
Care- very good, Accessibility – Very poor. Very Very poor first sign was inside. The only sign to the diagnostic centre (after the one at the round about) was inside the centre. I got extremely stressed as I went round and round to find it. The letter has made it clear that if I was late I wouldn’t be seen (I had left 1/2 hour early). That didn’t help
Lovely people and very gentle.
You can be seen through the NHS or as a private patient. You’ll need a referral first, and we’ll check it to make sure this service is right for you.
